Sunny start to Thursday with a stormy end

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) ▬ There could be some patchy fog Thursday morning. However, we will warm up to 75°F with partly cloudy skies. Enjoy it as thunderstorms are looking likely this evening into tonight. We are tracking a cold front off to the north that will be approaching us and setting off a few rounds of thunderstorms into the evening and overnight hours. Thunderstorm chances will continue into Friday as well.  We are giving Thursday evening and night a Thunderstorms Impact Number of 2 out of 5 on our exclusive scale at Fort Wayne’s NBC. There will be a round of thunderstorms that pushes though parts of northern Indiana Thursday afternoon into the evening coming out of Illinois. The next rounds will happen after sunset and after midnight.

Friday will be cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms possible especially for the late afternoon early evening with a high of 74°F. We are also giving Friday a Thunderstorm Impact Number of 1 out of 5.

The first 80s of the year are on the way for the weekend with a high of 82°F Saturday with partly cloudy skies and 80°F Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and a chance for some thunderstorms. Thunderstorms Sunday also have the potential to be strong.

Monday will still be mild with 70s and mostly cloudy skies. Temps get down into the 60s Tuesday. We warm back up to the 70s by Wednesday with more thunderstorms possible.
