More cloud cover but warmer Tuesday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Once the clouds cleared late Monday morning, we had plenty of sunshine for the rest of the day. Increasing cloud cover moves in late Monday and early Tuesday, especially for Fort Wayne and communities to the north. Temperatures reached well into the 70s in multiple states just west of here on Monday, and that ridge of warmer air slides eastward for Tuesday.

We remain mostly cloudy Tuesday and Wednesday with a small chance of a stray shower. Temperatures both days will top out around 70°.

Thursday’s setup favors the chance for rain showers and thunderstorms. A lot of moisture will be brought into the area, and rainfall amounts over one inch will be possible. The Fort Wayne’s NBC weather team will be tracking it closely. Once the cold front slides through Thursday night, the chance for storms drastically decreases, and so do the temperatures.

We’ll shed around 10° off daytime highs Friday, with 60° forecast and the possibility for some remnant showers. A few scattered showers are possible into Saturday as well. The Easter Sunday forecast looks a lot nicer! By then, warmer air should be moving back in and we should be drying out. A return to mid 60s is expected.
