More winter weather expected later Monday

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – More unsettled weather lasts into Monday. Mixed precipitation is possible Monday evening as warmer temperatures push in. We’ll have highs right around the freezing mark, so slick roads will be an issue Monday as well, especially later on. There will be an area of freezing rain for some time Monday evening. The question is where it sets up. Fort Wayne and north will have the best chance to get ice that will cause treacherous road conditions. Power outages are possible with light ice accumulations. Temperatures will jump well above freezing on Tuesday, but more precipitation is in the forecast as well. This time, it will be warm enough to fall as rain.

By the middle of the week, our weather quiets down. Mostly cloudy conditions and temperatures in the 30s and 40s are forecast Wednesday and Thursday. More rain showers are possible Friday.
