Mild Friday gives way to fall weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Friday starts out very warm and muggy with 70s and breezy conditions from the south and southwest. Wind could gusts up to 30 mph making for a bad hair day. Our high temperature is forecast to be 83°F. Clouds will increase around lunch as a cold front approaches from the west. We will see a few thunderstorms fire up between 2-4 pm to impact Fort Wayne. The Fort Wayne’s NBC Weather Team has given today a Thunderstorm Impact Number of 1 out of 5. The thunderstorms are not expected to be severe, but strong winds can’t be ruled out. Temps will be falling once the afternoon thunderstorms roll through. Winds will shift from the south to the north bring in much drier and cooler air. We will be back into the 70s by 5 pm with temps continuing to drop.

By Saturday morning we wake up to a low of 52°F along with a much drier air mass. There could be a few lingering clouds early in the morning.  We will see plenty of sunshine by the afternoon. Only a high of 65°F for your first day of fall! Get outside and enjoy it!

The wonderful fall temps continue into Sunday with a high of 70°F and mostly sunny skies.

Monday temps are still into the 70s, be clouds will be increasing and we could track some rain by Monday night into Tuesday.
