Entering the Ohio State football program, all freshmen are given a black stripe on their helmets.
To have the stripe removed, means the player has officially earned what it means to become a Buckeye.
For Wayne grad Craig Young, Monday was that day.
“I just want to thank my unit, my big brother, Malik,” Young said after hearing his name announced at practice.
“I just want to thank my family back home and my support back home.”
