Carroll captures Memorial Cup, 4-2, over Homestead

State runners-up Carroll en route to doing big things, once again, in 2019, as the Chargers rallied late to beat Homestead, 4-2.

Down, 2-1, Jake Dess caught fire scoring the game’s final three goals.

“It’s my last, you know, home game, senior year, so to score the hat-trick and win the city championship, it means a lot,” Dess said after the victory.

The Chargers forward was assisted by Devon Perry on both the game-tying and game-winning goals.
