Book scores late touchdown, leads Fighting Irish past Virginia Tech

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Notre Dame quarterback, Ian Book reaches the endzone with 29 seconds remaining in the game, leading the Irish to a 21-20 victory over Virginia Tech.

The final drive of the game consisted of 18 plays, leading to the 7-yard touchdown run.

Book completed two crucial passes on fourth down to keep the drive alive.

Despite two interceptions in the game, Fighting Irish Offensive Coordinator, Chip Long, believed in his QB.

And Book, believed in his teammates.

“I’m extremely excited. I’m just happy for the team. this week was about us, I can’t stress that enough,” Book said. “We all love each other and play hard for each other.”
