FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – For years, the ASH Centre in Fort Wayne attracted young baseball players, but now softball is welcomed too.
The first ever Hoosier Classic Girls Fastpitch Softball Tournament wrapped up this weekend.
The games are made possible from portable softball fences and pitching rubbers.
“It’s a huge milestone for the WBA to expand our opportunities for young ladies to come on our campus. It’s a huge win for us, a huge win for Northeast Indiana, and the entire Midwest to open up a facility that a premiere facility in the Midwest for fast pitch opportunities for young ladies to come here and play,” World Baseball Association Tournament Director, Austen Rigelman said.
