FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – The Boilermakers on the Road series sends Northrop grad, JaMarcus Shephard back to the Fort.

Shephard, Purdue assistant football coach, signs autographs and mingles with fans, along side another Purdue assistant football coach, Anthony Piondexter.

Also making an appearance is Matt Painter, the Purdue men’s basketball head coach.

While all three brought their own boilermaker spirit, Shephard felt back at home.

“Fort Wayne always has a special place, just the whole state of Indiana has a special place in my heart,” He said. “I know there’s states down south where football is played as well, but it means something here. The sport means something here in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Evansville, all across the state, so it’s great to come back and show face here.”
