FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – The Fort Wayne TinCaps expected a sold out crowd on the Fourth of July and it happened.

Parkview Field was filled with 9,508 people, breaking an attendance record.

Although the TinCaps had all the crowd support a team could ask for, they couldn’t string hits together. Fort Wayne loses to Lake County, 4-1.

“Now with this many games under our belt, we need to be able to make adjustments, at bat to at bat and like I said, pitch to pitch. We’ve seen these guys over and over and we know what they are going to attack us with. It’s just being able to adjust,” TinCaps Manager, Anthony Contreras said.
