FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Former Purdue Fort Wayne guard, John Konchar is spending time in Los Angeles, working out for NBA teams. Ahead of the NBA Draft, Konchar hit the hardwood in front of 10 professional teams, showcasing his ability to play various roles on the floor. He believes his hard work every summer in Fort Wayne, with many coaches by his side, helped him reach this level of play.
“Just every summer I kept working on my game. I had coaches always there for me like Ryan Sims, Paul Corsaro,” he said. “They just all kind of helped me out, so did Coffman, get better every summer, so I was always getting ready for the season and showing that.”
The NBA Draft starts Thursday, June 24th. Konchar plans to watch the draft with his family in Chicago. Be sure to check back with Fort Wayne’s NBC for updates throughout his process.
