Fort Wayne, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Former Norwell baseball player, Josh VanMeter was called up to the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend. On Monday night, the former Knight played a roll in the Reds victory over the Giants. Now as the Ossian, Indiana community watches VanMeter have success, the town is proud to call him one of their own.

“To see Josh put in the work and to put in the time, effort and dedication in the weight room, on the field, with trainers, It’s been pretty special. To have two kids come through out building and make it to the majors has been pretty special. It says a lot about who those kids are,” Norwell Athletic Director, Kelby Weybright said.
