FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Former Homestead basketball standout and Purdue sophomore, Karissa McLaughlin was recognized for her play in the Big Ten this year. McLaughlin was named to the First Team All-Big Ten team. She’s just the third sophomore to receive this recognition in women’s basketball history at Purdue.
McLaughlin averages 15.1 points and 3.9 assists per game and has tied the No. 2 single-season 3-point mark in program history with 80 triples on the season.
Purdue will play Illinois in the Big Ten Conference Tournament on Wednesday at 4 p.m. inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
