FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – The undefeated Notre Dame football team secured a spot in the College Football Playoffs today. The Irish came in at No. 3 and will meet No. 2 Clemson in the Cotton Bowl on December 29th at 4 p.m..

“Really excited about our ability to continue this journey on, being invited as one of the four teams in the College Football Playoffs,” Head Coach Brian Kelly said.

This is the first time the Irish will meet Clemson in a bowl game. The winner will have a chance at the National Championship.
