Student-run bakery opens at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Community members can get a taste of what students in Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s Hospitality Administration program are learning.

Students will operate a student-run bakery starting September 10. In the bakery, students will sell baked goods and serve as bakery manager for one week.

The establishment, called The Bakery at Kelty’s Kafé, will be located at Anthony Commons. The bakery will offer signature cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, bread, yogurt cups, fresh fruit cups, coffee from Old Crown Coffee Roasters. This year, espresso and lattes make the menu.

The bakery will be open Tuesdays from 9 am until 12:30 pm through October 8.
