FOUND: Quick work of police help find missing man

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Not even an hour after police asked for the public’s help, a Fort Wayne man suffering from several medical conditions was found safe Sunday morning.

He was found in good condition and will be returned to his southside home.

The Fort Wayne Police Department has canceled their Silver Alert.


Fort Wayne Police have requested a Silver Alert be issued for a Fort Wayne man who is missing and may be in danger.

James E. Rile Sr., 65, has been seen walking around the area of McMillen Park Sunday morning.

Police say he has dementia, Alzheimer’s and diabetes.

He was last seen in jeans and a blue checkered shirt.

He stands about 6’2″ and weighs about 140 pounds.

Rile Sr. walks with a cane but doesn’t have his cane with him.

He was reported missing from 2828 Schaper Dr.

If you see him, you’re asked to call 911.
