DEFIANCE COUNTY, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – A 26-year-old Ohio man is facing charges after police say he rammed some vehicles into a home and a barn in order to burglarize the property.

Around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, someone called the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office to a report of damage to a home and a burglary at 8648 Scholl Road in Defiance County, Ohio.

Police said when the owner got home, they found a vehicle in the house and another vehicle that had been driven into the barn.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the suspect still inside.

Cody Bell, 26, was arrested and charged with burglary.

Police took him to the hospital to get checked out, and after he was cleared, he was then taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

Detectives said the damage to the house, barn, outbuildings and vehicles were severe, and more charges could be filed.
