Clarksville, Ark. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Before Fort Wayne’s NBC reporter Kaitlyn Kendall took off from Arkansas on Friday to head back to Fort Wayne with 72 dogs and 5 cats ready to be adopted, she gave a closer look at two of those animals.

Akira and Oko are just two of the dozens of animals the Allen County SPCA picked up from crowded shelters near Houston, Texas as part of the “Subaru to the Rescue” event.

The pair of Husky Puppies will be back in Fort Wayne Friday night ahead Saturday’s adoption event at Bob Rohrman Subaru of Fort Wayne.

You can find more information on that event and how to adopt here.
