FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – One man is in serious condition after a shooting on Plaza Dr. Wednesday evening.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Plaza Dr. just after 6 p.m. on reports of gunshots in the area.

When officers arrived, they could not find a victim but did find shell casings on the street.

Minutes later a man, later identified as Andrew Rogan, walked into the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to a police report, Rogan told police he was walking on Pettit Avenue a few blocks from the 5500 block of Plaza Drive when a Burgundy Mazda or an Infiniti car drove by and opened fire.

He was able to run home, and his family took him to the hospital.

Rogan told police he wasn’t going to say anything more about what happened.

After spending hours at the scene, police took one person into custody on an unrelated warrant out of Huntington County.

Police received a search warrant and searched a house on the 5400 block of Plaza Dr. they believe is connected to the shooting.
