GM hiring part-time, temporary workers in upcoming career fair

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – If you’re looking for a part-time job, the Fort Wayne General Motors plant is hiring.

GM is hosting a job fair at WorkOne, located at 201 E. Rudisill Boulevard, on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.

They’re looking to hire part-time, temporary workers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, Friday through Monday.

Managers are looking for candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment and can work overtime hours with little notice.

Those who get the job would be responsible for assembly, machining, quality checks, tool changes and problem-solving of manufacturing processes and equipment.

The starting wage is $15.78 per hour.

GM says current temporary employees may receive preference if regular full-time positions become available.
