HUNTINGTON, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – An 18-year-old Huntington man is dead after a shooting Friday evening.

Police and EMS were called out to 200 Riverside Drive behind Johnny’s Restaurant in Huntington to reports of someone suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police found Brandon Lee Olivares inside a trailer bleeding from a single gunshot wound to his chest.

Efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.

Investigators say several people were inside the trailer at the time of the shooting, and all were interviewed to try to determine what led up to the shot being fired.

An autopsy completed on Monday revealed that Olivares died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police say the case remains under investigation.
