FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission is getting ready for a big Thanksgiving meal.

Staff and Volunteers at The Rescue Mission have been busily preparing enough food for more than 3,000 Thanksgiving Meals over the past two weeks.

The meal will be served from noon until 3 pm for anyone who needs one. It is available for dine-in and carry-out.

“You don’t ever have to be homeless to enjoy a meal at The Rescue Mission,” Rev. Donovan Coley said. “We welcome anyone who is in need of a delicious, hot meal.”

The Thanksgiving meal at The Rescue Mission is made possible by donated food items from area individuals and groups, cash donations, and the assistance of nearly 200 volunteers.

The Rescue Mission is located at 301 West Superior Street in Fort Wayne.
