Local Wells Fargo robbed second time this week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Fort Wayne police are responding to a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo on West State Boulevard — the second robbery at this location this week.

On Monday, Sept. 17, police responded to a holdup alarm from the 901 W. State Blvd. Wells Fargo Bank around 9:35 a.m. Police are still searching for that suspect.

Now just 4 days later, police are investigating yet another robbery at the bank.

Officers received a call about a robbery around 11:42 a.m. on Friday, Sept 21.

When police arrived, they were told a black male wearing a black hoodie entered the bank, and a bank teller asked him to take off his hoodie, and he did.

He then handed the teller a note asking for money. They gave him the money and he left the bank.

Police describe the man as being in his 20’s, about 5’10”-6’ tall, and hair styled in an afro.
