Taste of the Arts set for this weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – This weekend, the 11th annual Taste of the Arts will fill downtown highlighting the rich diversity of art and cultural experiences here in the Fort.

The free event runs Friday and Saturday at the Arts United Campus on 300 E. Main Street.

For the adults hoping to try out our local breweries, you’ll have your chance on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 pm.

Chapman’s Brewing, Hop River Brewing, Summit City Brewerks, Mad Anthony Brewing Co. and Three Rivers Distilling Co. will all offer tastings. Click here to get tickets.

And while you’re sipping on brews, you can grab a bite to eat from places like Bahn Mi Pho Shop, Crossroads Kombucha, Jimmy’s BBQ, Sweets So Geek, Shigs in Pit, and BrainFreeze Ice Cream.

WBOI’s Meet the Music with Julia Meek will have live bands playing from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

There will also be standup comedy with the Maumee Mary and Joseph Comedy Festival at 7:30 p.m.

At 10 p.m. Friday, check out a fire dancing performance from Pyroscope Entertainment.

The fun continues on Saturday, which is geared more towards the family.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, check out free kids activities at the NIPSCO STEAM park. See the full list of activities here. 

Organizers have more than 70 performances of dance, music, theatre, and more across 10 stages on tap, and of course, food and drink from local restaurants and brewers. Here’s the list of performances. 

Also on Saturday, you can take home your own piece of art from the Art Market from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday also offers free admission to The History Center and Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
