FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — With Fort Wayne Community Schools starting classes in two weeks, the Salvation Army of Fort Wayne wants your help with their “Tools for School” program.

The program works to provide Allen County families in need with the essential school supplies their children need to be successful in the classroom.

Community members have the opportunity to pitch in by donating supplies. Sunday is the last day people can participate in the official collection campaign. The organization will distribute the supplies sometime before school starts.

People can help out by donating at Salvation Army barrels around town, most of the barrels can be found at Walgreens. For more information on the program, call the Salvation Army at 260-744-2311 or visit safortwayne.org.
