Purdue Fort Wayne to test tornado sirens

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Purdue Fort Wayne is expected to test its new campus tornado siren Tuesday.

The test is scheduled for 11 am Tuesday and is expected to last about three minutes.

The siren sits on top of the Helmke Library and its range can reach more than a mile. If you hear the siren, there is no cause for alarm.
