FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – A few friends said they are shocked after police said a man stabbed and killed their co-worker.
55-year old Robert Littlejohn faces a preliminary charge of murder.
Police said he attacked 21-year-old Kennedy Laramore with a knife in the 1600 block of Roosevelt Drive, and that she collapsed right in the middle of the street.
“I couldn’t believe she’s gone because I just seen you,” said Anasha Wines, Laramore’s previous co-worker. “You were just alive, living, smiling and now you’re gone.”
Wines said she interviewed and hired Laramore a few years ago. Wines said Laramore was a good employee and left a positive impact on her Walmart family.
“She was the most smiling, joyful, cheerful we could have hired then, so we couldn’t pass her by,” Wines said.
Wines said she saw Laramore Saturday evening and that she still can’t believe that was the last time they would talk.
“There is no big smiling Kennedy,” said Wines. “She’s smiling up in heaven looking down on us smiling, but it’s like she’s not here anymore.”
Fort Wayne’s NBC spoke with some of Laramore’s friends. A few said they want to organize a balloon release for Laramore. We will be sure to update you once we learn more about the details of the event.
