INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC News) — An exciting update about a fundraising campaign for a hospital that thousands from The Fort visit every year, Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
The Riley Children’s Foundation is very close to reaching its $175 million goal that is part of the “Be the Hope Now” campaign.
It sits at more than $144 million, which is nearly 83-percent of the total.
The “Be the Hope Now” campaign launched last November and continues until June of 2020.
Priorities that are part of the funding goal?
Research, patient care, maternity and newborn health and family support programs.
In fact, officials with Riley tell Fort Wayne’s NBC News that each and every dollar raised during all of this leads to $10 in additional support for the research that takes place right across the street from the hospital at the Wells Center.
The money is also spent on finding world class staff members to conduct that research.
