Fort Wayne, IND. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Drue Tranquill is sure to play a big role in Saturday’s Cotton Bowl match up with Clemson.

Fort Wayne’s NBC sat down with Carroll Head Football Coach, Doug Dinan to ask what Tranquill was like in high school.

Coach Dinan said it was obvious Tranquill would be an impact player for the Chargers from the first time he stepped on the field.

He was known for his tough plays and leadership, Dinan said he was proud to have gotten the opportunity to coach the future college star.

“We entered the program at the same time, we learned together he taught me probably more than I taught him,” Dinan continued by saying,”He had fierce competitiveness all the time and his work ethic is second to none and it’s guys like that, that elevate the program and people want to follow, and people want to work at that level and he did that daily.”

Dinan said he plans to watch every snap during Saturday’s game.
