Bishop Dwenger’s Logan Ryan wins golf state championship

Since 1941, no high school golfer from Fort Wayne had won the state championship. Mark June 13, 2018, one special day in sports history for the city, as Bishop Dwenger’s Logan Ryan took home the title. Leading the way for the Saints, Ryan followed up a fantastic E (even) finish on day one with a +1 on day two, which would tie for him for first place overall. Going into a playoff, Ryan faced Central Grove’s Noah Gillard. 

Dwenger finishes third, Homestead teammates qualify for state

The Bishop Dwenger Saints marched into Stonehenge Golf Club, making it their business to dominate the day, and with efforts from Logan Ryan (73) and Luke Miller (74), they would qualify for the state finals at Prairie View in Carmel, IN. Their third place finish good for just behind first place Penn and second place Culver. Huntington North’s Damon Kaylor commits to Michigan State

Huntington North football may have not had the season it wanted in 2017, but one special player is showing to be a big-time success story. Vikings offensive lineman Damon Kaylor announced on Twitter on Wednesday evening that he will be going to Michigan State to continue his football career. Kaylor is a 3-Star recruit, according to 247 Sports. Listed at 6-foot-6, 315 pounds, the Class of ’19 road-grader had offers from schools like Indiana and Cincinnati.
