Sunrise Science: Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

On the eve of Halloween, Science Central’s Martin Fisher stops by Fort Wayne’s NBC Today with some special guests: a pair of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches.

Contrary to popular belief, the hissing from a Madagascar Cockroach does not come from their mouths.

Fisher says the hissing is caused by the insect’s three body parts: the head, thorax and abdomen.
