(NBC) – Attention Walmart shoppers: there’s a new type of grocery delivery service from the company starting for a million customers soon.
The retail giant has launched a new attack in its battle for customers against Amazon.
Starting this Fall, nearly one million shoppers will have access to Walmart’s new grocery home delivery service.
Walmart wants to give customers the option of having groceries delivered right to their refrigerators, even when they aren’t home.
According to researchers, about 37 percent of people purchased groceries online in the past year, with Amazon and its Whole Foods partnership being the most popular delivery service.
Friday night on NBC Nightly News, Gadi Schwartz explains how it will work in the series “The Price You Pay”.
