FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Just two days following an emotional Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indycar driver Sage Karam stopped by Television Park for a live interview on Fort Wayne’s NBC Today.

Karam spent hours waiting for his chance to race for a shootout for the final three spots during Sunday’s qualifiers for the 103rd Indianapolis 500.

Karam was able to secure the fastest time in the shootout, putting him in the 31st out of 33 positions in the race.

During Tuesday morning’s show, Karam told Fort Wayne’s NBC about the raw emotion he felt when he knew he’d secured his place in this years race.
