FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured at the Comfort Inn on the north side of town.

FWPD officers were called to the Comfort Inn off West Washington Center Road around 1:45 p.m. Thursday on reports of shots fired.

When police arrived, they said they found a man in a hallway on the second floor with gunshot wounds.

At this time, officers say they have limited information but believe the suspect is a black man in his 20s or 30s who is about 5'11".

As police were helping the first victim, they say a second gunshot victim walked into the hospital who matched the suspect's description.

This is a developing report. Check back for updates.
