Monday will start summer-like, but showers and possible storms are set to arrive this evening. Warm air continues to drive our weather, making for what has been the third warmest start to October on record in Fort Wayne. Highs will reach the low-to-mid 80s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. It will be a bit breezy at times and winds will continue to increase as the day goes on and a cold front arrives from the west.
The front will likely bring scattered showers along with the chance for a few thunderstorms that could produce some heavy downpours and gusty winds. Cooler air will fill in behind the front, dropping temperatures for the rest of the work week though it will still be warmer than average. Highs Tuesday will be in the low 70s as showers wind down early and skies gradually clear.
Have a great Monday!
