Fort Wayne man dies in crash on interstate

MARKLE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - One Fort Wayne man is dead Friday night after a car crash that happened on I-69.

Indiana State Troopers responded just after 6:30 p.m. to reports to of a personal injury accident near the 283 mile marker, south of Markle.

Once Troopers arrived on scene, they say they found 60-year-old Michael D. Tuffs unresponsive inside a silver Porsche that had crashed into the center median cable barrier.

The Huntington County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

Witnesses say, the Porsche's left rear tire blew out, causing him to lose control, hit a semi-tractor trailer and crash into a median.

Troopers say the driver of the semi was not hurt.
