FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Police have arrested a woman who was initially named as a person of interest in the double homicide on Third Street earlier this year and are looking for the public’s help in locating a second suspect.
31-year-old Marina Zrnic was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a shooting that killed two women on April 20. Jennifer Ann Dray, 40, and Amanda Lee Shroyer, 30, were both found shot at a home in the 800 block of Third Street.
According to court documents, a witness said Dray called him saying Joshua Dube was at her home with a gun, taking her belongings.
Police say Dube fled from the house, and officers later found him with a gun, methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin.
Dube told police his brother-in-law recently died and suspected Dray of intentionally giving him an overdose level of drugs. He told officers he then went over to her house to get his brother-in-law’s belongings.
He said when he went inside, Dray locked herself in the bathroom with Shroyer, so he texted Zrnic to come and confront her.
Dube said after that, someone walked in and “just started shooting” Dray and Shroyer.
Police recovered several texts between the two, including one Zrnic sent Dube saying: “He has no phone make sure you shoot anyone that tried to shoot him you hear me.”
Officers then interviewed Zrnic, who said she brought Ron Price with her to the home as a bodyguard because she knew Dray would be armed.
She said when she went inside the home, Ron pushed past her and started shooting Dray and Shroyer.
At the time of this report, Zrnic is charged with felony murder and robbery.
Police say they are currently searching for Price, who is wanted for murder in the case.
Price is a 48-year-old white man described as being 6’2″, around 190 pounds, and has blue eyes.
They ask that anyone with information on Price’s whereabouts call 911 immediately.
