Coroner identifies woman killed in overnight crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - The Allen County Coroner's Office have released the woman's name who died in an overnight crash Friday.

Police responded to the intersection of West Jefferson and Engle Road after the notification of a fatal crash.

When police arrived they found two vehicles involved in the crash and woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.

After notifying family members, the Allen County Coroner's Office have identified the woman to be 62-year-old Lisa Marie Ellert.

According to documents, the cause of death is from multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash and the manner was ruled an accident.

Ellert is the 16th fatal motor vehicle crash in Allen County for 2021. 

This crash is still under investigation.
