Kendallville Police Department seeking assistance in possible intentional house fire

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - The Kendallville Police Department need your help to figure out what led up to a house fire June 7, 2021.

Authorities were called to the 2100 block of Del Norte at around 2:39 a.m. in response to a fire.

When firefighters arrived, a small portion of the house was on fire on the outside of the home. Firefighters were able to contain the fire in a short amount of time.

A small family had made it out of the home with no injuries after they contacted 911.

Fort Wayne's NBC News was told by police that this fire could be arson related.

Authorities say the lack of any other non-incendiary causes in the area led them to believe it may have been intentional.

At this time, police are still waiting for analysis of evidence from the scene.
