(NBC News) --- About 1 in 8 unpaid volunteers for the Tokyo Olympics say they're dropping out for the games that open on July 23.
But organizers say with less than 49 days to go, the games will go on.

Tokyo remains under a COVID-19 emergency until June 20, and public opinion in Japan is strongly against holding the postponed Olympics this year.
NBC's Sarah Harman reports from London.
