TinCaps take home win in rain shortened game

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Rain may have halted the TinCaps vs. South Bend game Thursday night, but Agustin Ruiz came ready to play.

The TinCaps were victorious 4-3, but the game was called in the bottom of the sixth.

Ruiz belted a two-run home run in the first inning, scored on a wild pitch in the third and knocked in a RBI single in the fifth inning.

South Bend put up three runs in the bottom of the fifth, but the game would end an inning later.

South Bend and the TinCaps hit the diamond Friday with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
