SPENCERVILLE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Firefighters from 6 different departments battled a log cabin house fire Thursday evening in Spencerville, Indiana in rural DeKalb County.
Investigators say 2 people were inside the home when the fire likely sparked in the kitchen.
Investigators also say one of them was hurt.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m. at 6700 County Road 51.
They say they saw flames shooting through windows and the garage door and had to cut through the roof to battle the fire.
Heavy damage was reported.
The state fire marshal is helping to discover the cause of the fire.
