UPDATE: Fort Wayne's NBC News received the following release about today's standoff coming to a peaceful end.

The Fort Wayne Police Department was called to 500 Lillian Av reference a domestic situation with the suspect having a warrant for his arrest. When officers arrived the female stated the male was inside the home with several children and he was armed. Officers attempted several times to get the subject to exit the house. He refused. Negotiators, Emergency Services and Aerial Support Units were sent to that location.

After several hours, two children finally emerged the residence, unharmed, but the suspect still refused to cooperate. Shortly before 5:30pm, officers introduced a chemical agent into the home to motivate the suspect to exit the home peacefully. This was successful and the suspect finally surrendered.

Detectives are currently interviewing the suspect and any charges will be released when appropriate.

There is nothing further at this time.
