Purdue Fort Wayne names Marchesano women’s basketball head coach

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - The Purdue Fort Wayne Lady Mastodons name Maria Marchesano their new women's basketball head coach.

Marchesano, an Elmhurst grad, is one of the hottest coaching names in the country, fresh off leading Mount St. Mary's to a Northeast Conference Title and an NCAA Tournament bid.

After four seasons of transforming The Mount basketball culture into a winning one, Marchesano won the NEC Coach of the Year Award in 2020-21.
