HIGHLIGHTS: SAC heavyweights Homestead and Carroll performances featured in opening night of sectional playoff play

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - The undefeated, top-ranked team in the state of Indiana, the Homestead Spartans took care of business in their first playoff game against Huntington North, 62-37, at Columbia City's sectional.

The Wayne Generals will meet Homestead in the next round after toppling sectional host Columbia City, 57-52.

The Carroll Chargers beat neighboring SAC rival Northrop, 70-41, to advance to the next round of East Noble's sectional.

The Chargers will face another SAC opponent in Snider, after the Panthers outlasted DeKalb, 66-61, in a triple overtime victory.
