FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - The Fort Wayne Komets took the ice at the Memorial Coliseum for the first time in over 11 months, putting together a complete team performance in a, 4-1, home opening victory over the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night.

Komets defenseman Mathieu Brodeur scored the first goal in nearly a year for Fort Wayne, and from there, the K's never looked back, securing their first victory of their 2021 shortened season.
