FWPD searching for two persons of interest in Valentine’s Day homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Police say they are looking for two persons of interest in connection to the fatal shooting on Sunday.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 600 block of Candlelite Court around 1:10 a.m., where they found one person dead inside an apartment.

The coroner identified the victim as 37-year-old Heather Nicole Hobbs of Fort Wayne. Her cause of death was found to be a gunshot wound and her death was ruled a homicide.

Now, police say they are searching for 30-year-old Tykwan Walker and 51-year-old Debra Smith as persons of interest in the shooting.

Walker is described as being 5'11", around 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Officers say Smith is 5'3", around 115 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
