City garbage, recycling pickup expected to move slower this week as winter storm hits

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Don't expect to have your garbage and recycling picked up early this week within the city limits.
That's because crews are bracing for the winter storm system.
Trash and recycling collection is expected to move slower this week because of the predicted snow.

Because alleys are not plowed by city crews, it is more difficult for trucks to maneuver in those areas.
The city is asking residents to be patient.
