Mild air continues to hang around the Summit City and with mostly cloudy skies overhead, morning conditions are not terrible cold this Thursday. Morning lows are only in low to mid 30s under partly cloudy skies. A little sunshine through those partly cloudy skies will be a feature through mid-morning before skies turn mostly cloudy by the afternoon. Highs will again reach the low 40s, climbing well above normal for a typical mid-January day.
Overnight some active weather returns to the forecast as a system is set to first bring rain showers into early Friday. A cold front behind the front line of showers will lead to falling temperatures and a bit of a wintry mix for the Friday morning commute. Through Friday afternoon, scattered flurries will cone and go through the day as highs reach the mid 30s. No accumulation is expected, but showers and flurries will make for a wet end to the work week. Light, lingering flurries will continue through the weekend.
Have a great Thursday!
