4A’s No. 3 Homestead hands 2A’s No. 1 Blackhawk first loss, 72-60, in battle of unbeatens
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - Three Big Ten bound players competed in a battle of unbeatens, as Homestead's dynamic wing duo of Luke Goode and Fletcher Loyer overpowered Blackhawk, 72-60, on Tuesday night.
The Illinois signee Goode scored 22 points, while Loyer led the Spartans with 23.
Blackhawk's Caleb Furst scored a game-high 27 points, but the Braves died by the three-ball, shooting 0-17 from three-point range.
The first time future Purdue teammates, Loyer and the Furst, squared off against one another, each led his team in scoring.
